A dialogue renewed
In a different place,
Not far from the first,
As though we’ve replaced
The props on a stage
Whose structure remains
Topologically constant
Only now rearranged.
Old Experience and Labours
Re-emerge from the past,
And join newer players
To form our diverse cast
Of Lessons and Heartbreaks,
Contrasting Times,
Opportunities, Polarities,
Pictures and Rhymes,
Tyrants and Despots,
The Meek and the Mild,
Wise words from the Aged,
Innocence of a Child.
Locked into discussion
With the heat of a feud,
But in ultimate concord:
A dialogue renewed.
